  10.     This archive contains the fruit of a project I started last year and
  11. worked on from time to time. It is a Hyperbook application that presents
  12. short biographies of some famous mathematicians.
  13.  
  14.     The program is very easy to install.
  15.  
  16. 1.    Copy ALL the files to a drawer on your hard drive except for
  17.     the font files. For example, Work:Makers. Copy the fonts your fonts:
  18.     directory.
  19.  
  20. 2.    assign Makers: [drawer where you copied the above files]
  21.     For example, assign Makers: work:Makers
  22.     You can put this in your user-startup sequence if you like.
  23.  
  24. 3.    Make sure that your sys:system directory contains the cli program.
  25.  
  26. 4.    Double-click the program's icon.
  27.  
  28. 5.    Once the program starts, click the How To Use button on the lower
  29.     right-hand side of the screen.

  37.       * The program is over 650,000 bytes not including the HBBrowser  *
  38.       * program so it takes awhile to load, about 15 secs on my A3000. *
  39.       * The startup "wait" screen has been timed with this in mind. If *
  40.       * you use the program on anything less than a 68030 Amiga, the   *
  41.       * "wait" screen may disappear before the entire program loads.   *
  42.       * No harm done but give it time, it will get there!              *

  46.     I don't recommend that you use the program from a floppy disk. It
  47. would really take forever to load! Not only that, but all the needed files
  48. won't fit on a standard density Amiga floppy.
  49.  
  50.     The startup file is called Start_Makers and is an AmigaDOS script;
  51. it assumes you have made the above assign. If not the script will fail and
  52. the program will not start. Also, you can change the time that the "wait"
  53. screen your monitor by altering the "secs" (currently 15) parameter to
  54. whatever works on your system. Load the Start_Makers file into a text
  55. editor, then change this parameter which appears on the second line of the
  56. script. Then resave the file.
